So last night was totally awesome!

My high school put on its second annual "Cabaret!" celebration, where each of the chorus students put on little musical acts -- normally in hopes that they'll dress the part while doing their solos and make it more like an actual cabaret.

I had a solo this year, and a group act.

It was my first solo ever, and my first duet for that matter.

For my solo, I performed Eva Cassidy's version of the classic Sting song "Fields of Gold." My father accompanied me on the guitar. I dressed in white and gold to give a sort of virginal feel to it.
The duet I did with . We performed "Country Roads" by John Denver, and we both dressed in plaid flannel shirts and jeans -- I had mine open with a white tank underneath. It was hot as hell. We wanted cowboy hats to go with it but we didn't have any. Once more my dad accompanied us.

Everyone loved our performances, but since this was my debut I got several compliments ( is and always has been good, people have come to expect a wonderful performance whenever that name appears on the bill). I was even compared to Alison Krauss! I was rather honored.

Turnout was great, the Little Theater was nearly filled up.

Oh, and this year's performance of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" was EXCELLENT! We got to open up the back wall of the theater to the commons area, which we had decorated, and all of our "zombies" got to perform there. It was great.

Oh, and got to Rickroll the crowd. I loved it.
